Men’s Retreat

Coming Fall ‘26

Forged By The Father

A Weekend at the Forge…

Most men are masters of "fine." We’re fine at work, fine at home, and fine on Sundays. But underneath the surface, there’s a quiet ache—a sense that we were made for a battlefield, but we’ve settled for the grind.

"Forged by the Father" isn't about adding more to your to-do list; it’s about stepping away from the noise to remember who God actually created you to be.

The Work: Identity Drives Behavior At Still Waters, we believe you act based on how you see yourself. Real change doesn’t come from trying harder; it comes from a fundamental shift in identity. This weekend is a deep dive into the three core roles God assigned to us:

The Identity of a Son (Trust): Moving from "performance" to the security of being loved by the Father.

The Identity of a Brother (Love): Moving from isolation to a brotherhood that carries weight.

The Identity of a Man (Strength): Reclaiming strength—the spirit-formed resilience to lead and stand firm.

Schedule:

  1. Friday Night, 5PM: We start with a killer dinner and our first session, followed by intentional connection by the fire.

  2. Saturday, 8AM: A full day of teaching, inspiration, and honest group conversation. We’ll have dedicated time for reflection and prayer, ending in the afternoon with a powerful group equine session.

The Details: This is a small-circle intensive limited to just 8 men.

  1. Cost: $125 (Includes all meals and materials).

  2. Lodging: Provide your own lodging (plenty of local options nearby).

  3. Food: Killer food is provided throughout the weekend.

  4. Location: Still Waters

FAQ

Do I need to be "outdoorsy" or a horse person? Not at all. This is a non-riding equine session focused on group dynamics and spiritual metaphors. You don't need any prior experience with horses or the outdoors to get the full impact of this weekend.

What does the $125 cover? Your registration covers the full program, the equine experience, and high-quality, "killer" meals from Friday dinner through Saturday.

Where should I stay? Since this retreat does not include on-site lodging, we recommend [insert local town or a specific hotel name here] if you are coming from out of town. Most local guys just head home Friday night and join us early Saturday morning.

Why only 8 men? Real iron-sharpens-iron work doesn't happen in a crowd. We keep it small so that every man at the table is known, heard, and has the space to do the heavy work.

What should I bring? A Bible, a notebook, and gear for being outdoors. We’ll be by the fire and out with the horses, so wear boots and clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty.

Is this a good Valentine’s gift? Absolutely. If you’re purchasing this for your husband, father, or brother, it is a meaningful way to tell him you value his heart and his leadership. Reach out after you register and we can help you with a way to "present" the gift to him.

Sustainable Soul Women’s Retreat

Is it just me, or does your "Invisible Backpack" feel a little heavier lately?

I know exactly what it’s like to live in that constant state of overwhelm. For years, I was the undisputed Queen of Goal-Setting, but behind that capability was a hidden driver: a constant, low-grade anxiety that if I slowed down, everything would fall apart. We’ve all been there—juggling the endless weight of responsibilities, trying to stay ahead of the curve, and appearing like we have it all figured out while leading others.

It’s what I call "Red-Line Living." We treat our energy like fuel to be burned for maximum output, only stopping when the "Check Engine" light—or a full-blown panic attack—comes on.

But I’ve also experienced the beauty of learning to practice the presence of God. I've discovered that real peace—the kind that holds you together when the world is falling apart—is the presence of a Person. You weren't designed to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.

The Experience: From Machine to Garden

During our most recent Sustainable Soul Retreat, we stopped viewing our lives as machines to be fixed and started seeing them as gardens to be tended. One participant shared this powerful breakthrough:

"I realized it’s okay to let go of control. My Father really does love me; He’ll catch me when I jump and take care of me when I entrust Him with my life and soul and well-being."

What You Will Walk Away With

The Fall Women's Retreat is designed to help you bridge the "Peace Gap"—that space between the pressure you feel and the peace God promised. It is a sanctuary for rest and renewal, giving you practical ways to find God and stillness in the middle of your everyday chaos.

At Still Waters, you will:

  • Identify the Weights: Unpack the chronic stress and "performance pressure" you've been carrying in your invisible backpack.

  • Master Micro-Rhythms: Learn 30-second "anchors" that act as a tether, pulling your heart back to peace in your actual, busy life.

  • Experience the Equine Mirror: Work with our sweet and beautiful horses to see your internal tension reflected. As one guest shared, "When I finally just focused on working WITH her rather than dragging her, we were able to get through a run successfully... it was so exciting and encouraging!"
