A few years ago, we hit a wall. We found ourselves in a season of burnout that felt deeper than just physical exhaustion. Through that journey, we realized something life-changing: our burnout wasn’t just a pace problem—it was a perspective problem.
Despite years of ministry, we realized we were still operating out of an "orphan heart"—striving to earn a seat at a table we already belonged to. We saw God more as a distant and transactional than a present, loving Father.
This isn't just another series; it's our story of coming home.
"The Way Home" is an invitation to shift your perspective and experience the radical, healing love of the Father. When you truly understand His heart for you, everything changes: the way you view your challenges, the way you experience your relationships, and the way you walk out your purpose.

Still Waters Online is a place where faith is nurtured, hearts are refreshed, and people discover how to live deeply rooted in God’s love and Kingdom purpose.
We’re David and Christine DeGarmo. For over 30 years, we served in fast-paced ministry, pouring ourselves out for the work of God. But in 2021, we hit a wall of burnout that left us exhausted and empty.
In that season of brokenness and surrender, God met us in a profound way. He radically changed our lives by teaching us how to live slower, deeper, and closer to His heart. We came alive again with a new vision—to help people discover the kind of life we found in Him. Out of that journey, Still Waters was born.
Today, Still Waters is our ministry home where we gather for home church, host personal retreats, and offer experiences in nature and with our horses (Equine Assisted Learning) that help people encounter God’s presence.
Our passion is to help people discover and know God as Father and to live as beloved sons and daughters in the fullness of who He created them to be.
